The City of Oslo and ICLEI are partnering to host the 15th Procura+ Seminar on 21 - 22 March 2018.

Procurement is evolving rapidly and changing how public authorities across Europe purchase goods and services. Purchasing authorities are expected to strategically plan, professionalise their procurement and take into account sustainability and innovation.

The Procura+ Seminar will bring together Procura+ Network participants, practitioners, experts, and policy makers from across Europe. An interactive programme offers the chance to explore procurement concepts and issues through the lens of real-life examples and experiences, take part in dynamic and interactive sessions, and build capacity to procure more strategically. This includes:

  • Plenary sessions outlining policy and strategic developments, from European level to city level
  • Capacity building sessions focusing on challenges such as planning for strategic procurement and measuring societal impacts of procurement
  • Procura+ Marketplace providing a dynamic space to explore collaboration opportunities with peers from across Europe
  • Hot topic tables covering the issues and presenting initiatives that matter in procurement right now
  • Study visits offering the chance to learn more about strategic procurement in Oslo

All presentations and hand-outs will be provided online. Local and seasonal food and beverages as well as vegetarian meals will be provided, using organic ingredients where possible. A minimum amount of waste will be produced and all material possible will be recycled or reused during the conference. The most sustainable logistics options will be selected.
